How nature inspires Engineering

11:00am - 1:00pm
MABECS office, Petaling Jaya
Oct 12

Dr Mohamed Moshrefi-Torbati is Lecturer within Engineering and the Environment at the University of Southampton. More information on Mohamed can be found here.

In this talk, Dr Torbati will present a few examples of impressive designs that have been inspired by nature, such as the improved Japanese’s bullet train inspired by a kingfisher’s beak and owl’s plumage. The presentation will contain some information about the University and in particular the Faculty of Engineering.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions to both Dr Torbati and Mr Inegbedion about the University of Southampton’s Malaysia and UK Engineering offerings at the end of the talk.

  • “I didn’t expect MABECS to do this much for me. My consultant, Ms. Maha was very, very helpful with my personal statement and a lot of things. When I contacted MABECS, I didn’t know it was free of charge, because I would have paid for it if I needed to!”

  • “MABECS performed above my expectations because I didn’t expect my application complications to go through smoothly.”

  • “MABECS’ work is very tip-top because they do work on time. If they need a document from me, they will be upfront about the deadlines from the start. That makes it easier for me.”
